Below you will find answers to common questions about booking and undertaking our training courses, including details on course requirements, rescheduling, equipment, and certification, to help you prepare for a safe and effective learning experience.
Q. How do I book a training course?
A. You can book a course through our website, by contacting our booking team directly via email or by completing an enquiry form. Simply choose the course you’re interested in, and we’ll guide you through the booking process.
Q. Do I need prior experience to attend the course?
A. Each course has specific requirements listed on the course page. Some courses may require prior experience or initial training, while others are suitable for beginners.
Q. Who will be teaching the course?
A. All our trainers and assessors in the Academy have many years of experience in various industrial sectors from utilities, construction, civil engineering, and manufacturing, enabling us to create high-quality training programs to suit your company and employees’ individual needs.
Q. What certification/accreditation will I receive?
A. You will receive a digital Eurosafe or Ladder Association certificate upon completion of the training course. Both City & Guilds and Energy & Utilities Skills certificates are also available for specific training courses. Energy and Utility Skills qualifications will appear on your EUSR card.
Q. How long does the certification/accreditation last?
A. Eurosafe, City & Guilds and Energy & Utilities Skills certificates are valid for three years; Ladder Association certificates are valid for five years.
Q. How can I pay for a course?
The course can be paid for with an invoice or, if you book online, via a credit or debit card. We accept all major cards. We can also send you a payment link via email.
Q. What time does the course start and finish?
A. Full-day courses begin at 8:30 am and finish at 4:00 pm. Half-day courses start at 8:30 am and finish at 12:00 pm.
Q. Do I need to bring a photo ID to the course?
A. You must bring a valid photographic ID to your course; this can be driving licence, passport or work ID.
Q. Is personal protective equipment (PPE) provided?
A. All participants will have to wear relevant applicable site PPE for participation on the training courses. This includes but not limited to, safety boots, gloves, head protection and coveralls. Any other specific safety equipment will be provided on the day. If you would prefer to use your own harness for the duration of the course, we would need to see a certificate of inspection before use.
Q. Are courses delivered in English?
A. All courses will be delivered in English, and it is your responsibility to ensure that all participants can speak, write, and understand English. Please speak to us if you have any concerns about this before attending.
Q. What is included in the price?
A. All delegates are provided with a free pen and a notepad. The price also includes lunch for the full-day courses when delivered at Eurosafe Training Academy and there will be access to tea and coffee making facilities throughout the day. Please advise the Training Academy of any dietary requirements at least a week before the course begins.
Q. How long does it take for certificates to arrive?
A. You will receive your certificate within three working days. City & Guilds certificates may take up to three weeks to arrive.
Q. When will I receive my course joining instructions?
A: Course joining instructions will be sent to you via email as a PDF document no later than a week before the course begins.
Q. Can I cancel or change my booking?
A. If you wish to cancel your course booking, you may do so:
- Up to 5 working days prior to confirmed course date, 100% of the course value will be chargeable
- 6-10 working days prior to confirmed course date, 50% of the course value will be chargeable
- 11+ working days prior to confirmed course date, 25% of the course value will be chargeable
- Where multiple courses are cancelled, we reserve the right to charge 25% of the overall value within this quotation
Q. Is there on-site parking?
A. Parking is available on a first come, first served basis with reserved bays located at the rear of the car park. If the bays are all occupied, then please park considerably on the main road and walk into the Training Academy. Site speed limit is 5mph, so please adhere to this as there may be pedestrians walking in the car park.
