Course Aim
Stepladders and Step Stools for Inspectors course is suitable for those people responsible for inspecting stepladders and step stools in places like shops, offices, schools, libraries and the healthcare sector.
All courses will be delivered in English and delegates must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.
Delegates can attend our Training Academy in Sheffield or the course can be delivered on your site in a suitable classroom and practical area to accommodate at least 8 delegates for the theory and practical assessment sessions.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the course, delegates will learn:
- The law/standards relating to stepladders and step stools
- When it’s right to inspect a stepladder or step stool
- How to carry out a formal inspection
- How to record the inspection and any faults
- What action to take if faults are identified
- How to accurately record details of stepladders and step stools used within the workplace.

- Pre-Use Inspection, carrying and setting up a Stepladder and Step Stool
- Completing a formal inspection
Important
Closed-toe shoes, with good grip on the sole are recommended – no backless or high heel shoes; no socks, tights or bare feet.
