Course Aim

This course is suitable for those people responsible for using and inspecting stepladders and step stools.

All courses will be delivered in English and delegates must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.

Delegates can attend our Training Academy in Sheffield or the course can be delivered in a suitable classroom at your normal place of work (subject to a risk assessment).

When it’s right to inspect a stepladder or step stool

STEP assessment of a task
Pre-use inspection, carrying and setting up of a Stepladder and Step Stool
Completing a formal inspection.

Important

Closed-toe shoes, with good grip on the sole are recommended – no backless or high heel shoes; no socks, tights or bare feet.
