Aerospace Manufacturer
An Aerospace Manufacturer visited the Eurosafe Training Academy, following a colleague’s recommendation, to explore our training facility. Concerned about their current provider’s insufficient service levels and lapses in training compliance since the COVID-19 restrictions, they sought a more reliable solution to meet their company’s needs.
The Process
We discussed how Eurosafe Training could apply the new qualifications to his specific environment of specialist aerospace metal manufacturing. We then visited all of his sites to evaluate the current provision of confined space control, from the classification of the spaces to the equipment needed to make the entries.
This resulted in three-day consultation and the update of their confined space register, which included recommendations for training and equipment.
Training then started for the engineering and maintenance staff. We have delivered 10 courses so far for Medium Risk Confined Space Entry and Entry Control with great feedback from the delegates.
The Outcome
The training received by the client has led to the purchase of new confined space entry equipment, including helmets and harnesses which are more suited to the environment of the foundry. We are now supporting the next phase of training, which will involve permit and manager training for confined spaces, as well as an assessment of the work at height provision. This assessment will involve assessing the needs of the engineers and managers, and delivering relevant training.
